Hello together.

I'm completely new to WMS. I was looking for a Media Server that can stream podcasts, and WMS does this perfectly, at least for audio. However, i can't get most of the video-podcasts from the german public broadcasts channels (ARD and ZDF) to work.

Some work, like this one:
http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/podcast/ ... ew=podcast

But most dont:
http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/rss/500?view=rss
http://www.daserste.de/podcasts/mam_dyn ... amente.xml

It seems like i need some kind of scripting for WMS, but i couldn't find any tutorial or documentation for that.
Can you help me? Perhaps give me an example how to do it for one feed, so i can do it for the others myself?
I think this would be a very cool feature for all german-speaking users.

Btw, here are the links to the actual websites:
http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/hauptnav ... ?flash=off
http://www.ardmediathek.de/ard/servlet/content/3474442

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

PS: There is already a open source project that does something similar with those feeds, but cant stream them directly:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/zdfmediathk/

Okay thanks, but thats basically how far i got myself.

Perhaps i should specify: There are a number of video-podcasts that work fine, but a lot more rss-feeds that are (as far as i can tell) technically not podcasts, but still contain references to video-files. Those are the ones i want to get to work.

I was mistaken on the one podcast from ard, but the zdf one http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/rss/500?view=rss really doesnt work. I saw the examples from the podcast gallery, but i find learning from those alone not very easy, thats why I thought there might be some kind of tutorial. If there is none i can still try myself.

Select the folder ZDF - aspekte - right click - pay attention to scripts "The additional properties reading script RSS" and "Script for the links to the resource"

Unfortunately there are no universal solutions for all the sites, this solution based on the analysis of RSS-feed and loading content.

Updated 2013/01/06 (added folder "RTSP-streams", you can add other RSS-feeds with rtsp-streams to this folder)
